MARCO EMILIO LEPIDO​

Marco Emilio Lepido was born in Rome from the Lepidi’s family, a branch of of the “Gens Aemilia”. He was a politician and a military commander of the roman empire. He worked in construction then decided to begin his political career. He was nominated consul in 187 b.C. first, and then again in 175 b.C. During his career he promoted many construction projects, among these, there was the important Via Aemilia. He died in 152 b.C.
